AI2 room, originally uploaded by J. Puig.

My second course in Chalmers as I said is called Artificial Intelligence 2, in the von Neumann room at IT University.

By the way, I’ve realized that there’s an error in the name typed on the wall of my lecture-room because it’s only ending with one ‘n’.

Last week, we were handed in the “home problems” we should do before the 20th Dec deadline. They are about all the stuff we are learning in lectures and we’ll have to use either Matlab either Visual Studio.
Because I worked with Matlab in my home university, I definitely decided to use that one. But the problem came when I knew I didn’t have any Matlab in my mac.

Suddenly Chalmers gave me the solution… Matlab license for free! What the hell is that? I’ve never heard something like this! The teacher told us that we were able to get a license from the Chalmers’ website just by doing log-in with our account and then, we’d receive the license in our Chalmers’ e-mail. And it was like this, at the same time that both versions for Mac-Linux and Windows were available in the Chalmers’ website to be downloaded and set up in our laptops.

Now, I’m wondering how much Chalmers spend every year in Matlab licenses since they are really expensive. In my spanish school we only had a few computers with Matlab licenses because they couldn’t afford all they wanted.
